Ghost Tour - Singapore 2 Dec' 06

Ok, basically here at Singapore i'm doing my undergrad' degree in business marketing, currently i have come to the last semester with 4 year three subjects and one of them is "Tourism Marketing" which basically studies how to market tourism product in a particular country. On the subject we are given 2 assignments requiring us to create some sort of business plan for an existing tourism company, the plan is supposed to enhance their business. Why? well i think because they don't do very well, simple as that.

Ok, the first company is called API ( Asian Paranormal Investigator ), we are now supposed to act as a business consultant to the company, and first step is to understand what is the business? right? OK, then on 2 Dec, we 33 people as I counted excluded the API guys gathered, time was showing 7pm so that by the time we start the tour its already dark and things gone more than anything u call morbid stuffs. =.="

First StOP - Ten Courts of Hell, HawPar Villa, Westcoast area of Singapore. Hmm.. I don't like this. We went into a large cave, cunningly shaped into a Hell Courts, the entrance door was a huge red gate guided by two warrior, one on each side. One was bull-head, one was cow-head? I cant recall... The inside was a relics in 3D shape showing 10 different level of hell courts, in each, spirits (dead-people) are tortured accordingly to their sins when finally at the end they are to cross a long bridge and meet a granny, here she will give the spirits a cup of forgotten tea before they enter a wheel of reincarnation. There are 6 different level of life forms, and if a person did well on their past life they will be reincarnated into something better, and if they did terrible things than they will be reincarnated into something lower.
I try to recall what are the 6 levels. The lowest are very small living creatures like micro-animals, above are small animals like rats, worms which is yucky2. Above that, is sea creatures and mammals. The fourth level is noble animals that live closely together with humans like dogs, monkey, cats, birds, etc. On the fifth level are humans, but those considered slaves, poors, uneducated, and so on. On the top are humans such as noble, gallants, warriors, scholars, and all that. so yeah and so on. wakakakaka... These are taoist thought. I think...

SeCond StoP - Malaysia Cemetery , I cant remember the name, it was very small and located below a HDB building, there was two tombs catched our attentions, which the tour guide later on told stories of. In the middle was Princess _____ 's tomb, I can;t remember her name, she was the descendants of Sultan_____ (can;t remember as well) and suprisingly heard this Sultan was the person who signed the contract with Raffles when he handed over Singapore. The second tomb was, the Sultan's! but the tomb was very small and it looks that no one even care to look after. Thus one conclusion, whoever was inside, the names wasn't belong to them.. But where are the real one? no one knows, so MAYBE the person inside the tomb really are them! hmmmm... who knows? heheehehe...

ThiRd StOP - Abandoned HouSes in Orchad This was more historical bases haunted house, so there was this Eurasian lady, Mary Van Ick in 1960's (not so long ago) owned 3 houses built closely to each other. One was the one she lives in with her family, one made hostels and rent to people, last one i can;t remember. However, later on due to dispute on family heritance the houses wasn;t taken care of and after she died no one ever take care. Then the reason why the house was abandoned is because they are venued in the middle of the road that is used (until now) as a shortcut by the residents of Condominium resides on the back of the houses, Grange Heights. heard of it? if u know where it is then perhaps u can spot these houses. So things went very complicated.

We went trough the abandoned house, it was big and very pretty, very beautifully done and artistic design that i guess not from asia. Nothing much really. things are very much broken and ruined it wont stand any longer than i say... 5 years? hehe...

Fourth StoP - Chinese Cemetery (pleasant) Now the area are called "pleasant" I dont know why. but the cemetery was pretty BIG and OLD, i say looked more like a jungle than a cemetery. It was built on early 1817, and used to be called Ka Fei Shan, or Coffee Hill. Back in its early days it was one of the first chinese cemetery built on the era of 2nd generation of Singapore (1800's) the story is there was this girl that lives in a very devastated life, but she was pretty tough and live the life in a very fortitude way, she becomed slaved to the coffee yard in the area, and helped the villagers grew decent coffee. However, the villagers always hated her for no reason until in her teenage age she was sexually abused and killed. She then cursed the land, that this land will never grow any coffee and the "word" coffee is never to be verbally used by anyone. True enough later years the land didn't grow any coffee and the soil lost its fertility. Villagers who said "coffee" were passing away one by one. I don't know how it lead to cemetery haha...

That's the background, okay what we did was visiting a tomb of a chinese opera girl back on her glorious day 1950's she was very famous. Why she was buried in such a remote area? She fell in love with a guy, apparently she was having her baby when she knew that the man has already married. Thus she couldn't;t go to any medical clinics or hospitals. She had to go to a private clinic, she was delivering her baby when she died, poor girl, in the tomb there was two little statue of eagle guarding. We then went to call spirits or whatever by pulling chain or whatever... it was scary enough that I wasn;t looking to any of that... phew...

Hey! I need to go to the toilet!! This tour pissed me off, 5 hours nonstop and never gave us d chance to visit any toilet, the only toilet was in hawpar villa. However, the tour guide said its Haunted! OMG!! i need to peeeee u f*! lol! sumimasen...

FifTh sToP - Punggol White House, Punggol is one of the Singapore end, if you see the MRT line this is the far end of the Purple Line. Basically when you alight on the station, u can see a large greenies area and a big white house in the middle. The house stands solely in the middle without anything else surrounds. It was built on early 70's i think, and purposely to be a center glamor building to the to-be luxury estates, but the construction never took place. Yeah, people went there often to check this and that, and they spotted ghosts and spirit such as long haired girl and a vague image of skull on the wall. wakakakaa...
(aduh cape gw nulisnya)

LasT StOP - Another Cemetery this is the oldest cemetery ever, one of the first ever built. And all the dead corpse laid inside tombs here are the very first inhabitants of Singapore. They were coming from all over China and India, left their family on China and India, they had no one here. Thus they are buried in such a way that no one taken care off, I was about getting ready on the entrance, guess what the tour guide said "One of the tomb was guarded by a man and a dog, careful with the dog and...."

I'm a dog phobic, and for one thing how can a dog live alone in a dark place such as jungle cemetery all of his life be such nicely tamed?? huh? no way man!! I'm not going... gyahahahaha... so yeah... I didn't ventured in and I don;t know what inside... bwaaakkakakaka...
At last, the time was showing later than 12pm everyone was exhausted when the tour guide were saying thanks and bye2 haha... They left us at 24hours foodcourt in Newton area when we had our supper there before each going to their own home. Remember folks, all of the places we visited were in absolute darkness, even the cave of hell was also dark, so we can only bring small torch light. I wish i had a skytorch like batman so I can light up the whole place ^^ Are you guys any interested in this so called urban legend tour?? If u visit or in anycase stays in Singapore u can visit the website
www.api.sg and dig up more information... GBU ALL!.. byeee22
